Blog Journal #9

      I am in an asynchronous section of EME2040. Looking back, I definitely wish I had taken this course in-person. I have found it pretty difficult to keep up with the assignments. I think I would have benefited from being in person because I feel like this class is so technical. I have enjoyed a handful of the assignments. I love having the ability to be creative with my own assignments, it has been fun! When I become a teacher, I hope that I will always try to give my students the ability to express themselves within their work. I think doing that helps motivate students and it gives them some more freedom in what they produce in my class.      Open educational resources (ORE) are very beneficial to educators like my future-self.       I really enjoyed working on the web design assignment! I had never used Weebly prior to this assignment. I found it easy to use and it had a lot of options in terms of design and overall creativity. I liked being able to customize the design to how I wanted it to look. It was easy to add and edit pages and to add hyperlinks. I  definitely think when I become a teacher I will use Weebly to create my own class website. I think it is an awesome tool for myself as the teacher and for my students and their parents to be able to stay connected and up to date with everything that is going on in my class.  My website:  https://msferruasclass.weebly.com     I think Diigo can be helpful in a classroom because it provides a platform where teachers and students can share articles, websites, and other information with each other.
